The Pompadour by Galvin to Introduce a Tempting Truffle Dining Experience

The Pompadour by Galvin Head Chef, Daniel Ashmore has designed a very special menu to celebrate all things truffle this autumn. Diners will be able to indulge in a delicious four-course menu, with each course inspired by truffles, during the Tempting Truffles Dinner on Thursday 8 November at 6:30pm.

An ambitious challenge, the menu has been inspired by Chef Dan’s love of this rare, decadent ingredient. The carefully selected truffles for the menu will be supplied by Zak Frost of Wiltshire Truffles, with English Black Autumn Truffles and Italian White Truffles two of the four featured.

Highlights from the Tempting Truffles Dinner menu include:

  • Langoustine “Mac & Cheese” with Italian Autumn Truffle
  • Hand Rolled Linguine, Aged Parmesan and Chicken Emulsion with White Alba Truffle
  • Bitter Chocolate Tart with Vanilla Ice Cream and Hungarian Honey Truffle

Each course will be complemented by a selection of remarkable wines from around the world, including a 2012 Amarone from Italy and 2012 Dry Furmint from Hungary.

Dan Ashmore, Head Chef at The Pompadour by Galvin said: “Truffles are considered to be a rare delicacy with a very distinct and aromatic flavour. I love being able to use British ingredients and it has been an absolute delight to design a menu featuring truffles from the UK and our Tempting Truffle Dinner aims to demonstrate the versatility of this rare and special ingredient. We have been very lucky to find a great supplier and partner with Zak Frost from Wiltshire Truffles and I hope he will be able to join us for the evening and escape the peak truffle season to talk to guests about this unique ingredient.”

The menu is priced at £135 per person, including paired wines which have been hand-selected by Sommelier, Damien Trinckquel.
