London’s world-famous Borough Market, is extending its offering with al fresco dining now open. More than 20 Market traders and restaurants are setting up tables in designated, Covid-secure dining spaces in Borough Market Kitchen and Three Crown Square every evening of the week after the Market closes – offering customers airy dining amongst the Market’s stunning Victorian architecture with the added security of a covered roof in many of the spaces.
Customers are able to enjoy high quality food from a selection of restaurants, under the atmospheric archways of the Market. Dining options include Applebees, Arabica, Bao, Bedales, Elliot’s, Flor, Padella, Portena, Rabot, Roast, Silka, Stoney Street by 26 Grains, Turnips and Wright Brothers Oyster and Porter House. And from Borough Market Kitchen; Juma, Brindisa, Horn Ok, Gourmet Goat, Mei Mei, La Tua Pasta, Tacos Padre and Oroshi will be cooking up delicious international cuisine.*
Customers are advised to book tables in advance, however, all venues are able to offer walk-ins if space allows. Please visit individual trader websites for opening days and to make a booking. Borough Market Kitchen closes at 10pm, whilst restaurants are open until 11pm.
Darren Henaghan, Managing Director, Borough Market said: “We are looking forward to welcoming diners back. Al fresco dining in the heart of Borough Market is a unique way to enjoy the superb flavours of excellent produce cooked and served by a range of exciting restaurants. It is wonderful to see the return of the buzz in the Market that comes naturally when people come together to enjoy food.”
In January, the Market became the first outdoor venue to legally enforce the mandatory wearing of face masks. Controlled entry and exits points have been put in place to manage numbers and social distancing.
