BOMBAY SAPPHIRE gin has partnered with iconic arts retailer, London Graphic Centre to launch a new twist on the typical advent calendar with the ’12 Days of Creativity’. The latest step in the gin brand’s longstanding commitment to supporting creativity, this innovative calendar is designed to help people take full advantage of the time from December 25th to January 5th – a time when many are inspired to pick up a new skill or hobby they’ve always wanted to try as the New Year quickly approaches.
Arriving just in time for those whose New Year’s resolution is to embrace a new creative pursuit (as 75% Brits say they would like to do[1]), each day of the calendar holds a carefully chosen item to encourage people to stir their creativity through either mixology or visual art. The ’12 Days of Creativity’ serves as both the perfect gift for gin and art-lovers alike, or an ideal home entertainment purchase if you’re keen to flex your creative muscle and learn some new skills from the comfort of your living room over the holidays.
With twelve opportunities to get creative, the premium quality art supplies and cocktail-making tools are housed in a beautiful, hard shell box emblazoned with festive artwork by Gustavo Vono, which can be repurposed to store art supplies and memorabilia for years to come.
The calendar also features a special QR code which people can scan each day to unlock an online hub hosting exclusive video content that features a series of world class artists and the Bombay Sapphire Brand Ambassador & Mixologist, Franck Dedieu. This video series aims to inspire budding creatives and show them how best to use the tools that sit behind each number.
The video tutorials will be led by a host of emerging and established artists who will show users how to create mini-masterpieces using their newfound tools. Additional content from Franck will teach gin lovers plenty of creative cocktail-making tips that will elevate their home-mixing skills to the next level whilst entertaining over the holidays and throughout the year.
Through the QR code, calendar owners can also unlock access to a bespoke online speaker event that will feature inspiring talks from a selection of the artists involved and Bombay Sapphire’s mixologist. This interactive event will give attendees the opportunity to ask questions and connect with the artists and mixologist, as well as their fellow budding creatives.
This virtual event is the brand’s fourth iteration of the ‘Cocktails & Create’ series that has been running throughout 2020, offering people a chance to get creative and stay connected from home, and in-bar, throughout the challenging times 2020 has brought us. Hosted on Zoom on 20th January 2021, the event will be a celebration of the new skills they’ve honed over the 12-day period which they can take into 2021.
Franck Dedieu, Bombay Sapphire UK Brand Ambassador says; “The ’12 Days of Creativity’ calendar continues Bombay Sapphire’s mission to help people stir their creativity, be it through mixology or visual art. We are so excited for people to discover the wonders each day that the calendar holds! Bombay Sapphire gin is recognised for its versatility and perfectly balanced with a flavour profile that welcomes creative twists, which is one of the reasons that we aim to inspire people to stir their creativity, whether it be in a Gin & Tonic twist or trying a new artistic pursuit.”
Michael Want, General Manager at London Graphic Centre says; “It’s been a pleasure to work with a brand that genuinely supports the arts and the belief that we all have a creative spark within us, waiting to be discovered. We hope that people will be inspired by the art supplies within this unique calendar and enjoy the process of exploring their creativity throughout the 12-day period.”
