LYQD, a new online Whisky Investment Platform, partners with Lewis Moberly for Brand Identity

London-based brand design agency, Lewis Moberly, has partnered with new online whisky investment platform, LYQD Cask Exchange, to create a brand marque and visual identity system. LYQD completed a 1.2 million Euro pre-seed fundraising round at the start of the year.

Cask whisky is a valued asset. 44 million cases of whisky worth an estimated 79 billion Euros are currently stored for ageing worldwide.

Despite this demand and interest, there is currently no recognised exchange for cask whisky anywhere in the world. This restricts liquidity, limits the flow of capital into the industry and reduces the potential returns for cask owners through a lack of pricing transparency. LYQD will change this.

The business is building a new platform and marketplace that aims to democratise the world of Irish whiskey cask investing.  By simplifying and making this space more accessible, LYQD will make it easier for people to buy into the world of whisky investment.

The LYQD Cask Exchange is supported by Enterprise Ireland, founder capital and private investors. LYQD targets both Irish and International investors in alternative assets with a nod to the US market. Longer-term, the LYQD offer could include tokenisation, selling shares of casks, financial services, and managed investments, as well as broadening its focus to include spirits beyond Irish whiskey.

The new LYQD identity by Lewis Moberly is imbued with the visual language of whisky delivered with a tech challenger spirit. The confident marque conveys trust and reassurance. Its refined, curved letters evoke a sense of fluidity reflecting the LYQD brand name.
