This November, nut butter experts Pip & Nut are set to enter the premium impulse category with an exciting range of all natural nut butter cups. Made in the UK using Pip & Nut’s award-winning real nut butter, each cup is deliciously wrapped in ethically sourced, single-origin Colombian chocolate.
During a recent study*, over 50% of healthy active Pip & Nut shoppers claimed to have a sweet treat most evenings and afternoons with nuts and chocolate frequently eaten to fulfil this need. With Pip & Nut’s expertise in nuts and understanding that 29% of their consumers already eat nut butter cups, they believed it showed a clear opportunity to disrupt the category and the conventional confectionery brands that reside within it. With nut butter at the centre of this treat, Pip & Nut bring a natural nut butter cup to the shelf satisfying the need for a permissible yet indulgent treat.
Founder, Pippa Murray says “Time and time again we had consumers asking us to make nut butter cups, in fact some of our most engaged instagram posts on Pip & Nut’s instagram were those featuring nut butter cups. So, after listening to our community of fans we are so pleased to present our very own range of Nut Butter Cups! Over the last five years we’ve perfected the primary ingredient, nut butter, so it feels like a no brainer for us to bring our expertise in nut butter to this new product range and category.
At Pip & Nut we hold ourselves accountable to making products with the best ingredients possible so, to accompany our award winning nut butter, I’m delighted to be working with an ethical chocolate supplier, Casa Luker who not only produce utterly delicious single origin chocolate in Colombia but also invest back into their
local community through infrastructure, social and agroforestry projects to increase the biodiversity of the land.”
Available in three variants, Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup and Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Cup, each 34g pack contains two cups. Obsessed about making exceptionally tasty products, the brand has remained true to their ethos for natural ingredients with no palm oil. The range is also gluten-free and the dark chocolate cups are vegan friendly, with each cup in the range containing just 102 calories.
Rolling out from 1st November, the brand has secured strong early listings with Boots, Ocado and Wholefoods as well as top independents nationwide. They will also be available direct from pipandnut.com.
