Donatos Pizza Chairman Jane Grote Abell will be featured on CBS’s hit reality series “Undercover Boss” Friday, October 11. The show will follow Grote Abell as she dons a disguise and goes undercover in Donatos restaurants.
“I wanted to participate in Undercover Boss to experience first-hand the inner workings of our company and to interact with our associates on the frontline who make a difference for Donatos every day,” said Grote Abell. “In addition to ensuring the mission and promise of Donatos is alive and well across the company, I wanted to have the chance to discover unsung heroes within our organization and discern changes we can make to be the best pizza chain possible.”
Following in the path of previous Undercover Boss executives, Grote Abell will leave her corner office on an undercover mission to work alongside associates in Donatos restaurants. Viewers will watch Grote Abell experience everyday tasks including pizza deliveries, pizza making and call-ahead pick-up window staffing.

Undercover Boss, in its fifth season, is a two-time Emmy Award-winning reality series that follows high-level corporate executives as they slip anonymously into the rank-and-file of their own companies. Each week, a different executive will leave the comfort of their corner office for an undercover mission to examine the inner workings of their company.
