KALLØ Extends Innovative, Pea-Protein Veggie Cakes With Delicious New Flavours

Kallø, the leading rice cake brand owned by Ecotone UK, is set to launch two exciting, premium flavours of its vegan-friendly lentil and pea-based Veggie Cakes: Tomato Salsa, Lime & Coriander and Caramelised Onion Chutney.

High in protein and fibre, the on-trend flavour variants follow the bumper launch of Spinach & Pesto and Beetroot & Balsamic Veggie Cakes last year. The new additions bring more creative and delicious flavours to the range which is driving 60% incremental sales for the category and is in the top 10 SKUs in terms of value for Kallø.

The vegetarian- and vegan-friendly snacks are available now in Waitrose stores (122g pack, RRP: £2.49). Each pack contains 13 jumbo-sized cakes and appeal to the growing number of  grown-up snackers looking for a healthier, plant-based alternative.

Offering unique and complementary flavour combinations, Kallø is a great premium point of entry for new customers to the snacking category. Veggie Cakes have no artificial ingredients, with tasty flavours derived from real ingredients – ideal for a savoury snack or topped lunch. 

The new variants build on the success of the initial Veggie Cakes launch in 2020, with the full range ending the year in the top 10 NPD launches in Waitrose and top 25 in Sainsbury’s.
