Little Moons, the mochi ice cream brand, has signed a deal to supply its Great Taste award winning Little Moons Vegan Tropical Passionfruit and Mango and Creamy Coconut Mochi Ice Cream Bites into approximately 500 Tesco stores throughout the country.
This is the latest in a string of significant new retail deals across Europe that has seen the business achieve significant growth in 2020 and open a new £3.5m factory in London to cope with UK and international demand in both retail and food service for its mochi.
Vivien Wong, co-founder, Little Moons comments: “Our mochi ice cream bites are delicious, and we know once people try them, they absolutely fall in love with them. Sales of our products just keep skyrocketing, so we’re on a mission to make them more widely available and increase our listings and SKUs within retail.”
Little Moons mochi bites are made by wrapping bite-sized balls of creamy artisan gelato ice cream in a layer of soft and delightfully delicate mochi dough. Mochi is from Japan and is a rice flour dough that has been steamed and pounded to give it its distinctive and delicious soft and chewy texture.
Little Moons are gluten free and free from artificial flavourings, colours and preservatives and are suitable for vegetarians. There are 12 delicious flavours to choose from, including Himalayan Salted Caramel, Vegan Belgian Chocolate, Creamy Coconut, Alphonso Mango, Uji Matcha Green Tea, Summer Strawberries and Cream, Madagascan Vanilla, Honey Roasted Pistachio, Vegan Tropical Passionfruit and Mango, Yuzu Lemon, Summer Raspberry and Italian Roasted Hazelnut. Each bite of mochi serves up an exciting new flavour adventure.
