On September 28, the House of Martell launched the first of its ground-breaking H.O.M.E. by Martell events, when Grammy-nominated singer Jhené Aiko curated a unique experience that presented her personal take on Martell’s art of hosting. Held at a luxurious residence in the Hollywood Hills, the result offered a wealth of ideas for future H.O.M.E. by Martell events across the world.
Aiko presented her own distinctive vision of Martell’s art of hosting. Guests were treated to the genius culinary collective Ghetto Gastro, a signature cocktail created by Jhené Aïko with Martell Blue Swift and a musical program.
“Home entertaining is something I’ve always been passionate about,” said Aiko. “I was excited to curate the first-ever H.O.M.E. by Martell experience, and bring my vision of hosting and Martell’s spirit of curiosity to life.”
The evening was also a celebration of Martell Blue Swift, with Martell’s Cellar Master Christophe Valtaud on hand to present the House’s latest innovation at an exclusive cellar experience. A unique Eau de Vie de Vin, made of 100% Martell VSOP Cognac then finished in Bourbon casks from Kentucky, its unsuspected aromas of candied fruit and plum – complemented by the subtle sweetness of vanilla – offer an exciting new experience to enjoy at home.
With L.A.’s movers and shakers in attendance, the genre-defying occasion was indisputably the place to be. Among Jhené’s Aiko’s special guests were rappers Quavo and Wale, and Nigerian hip hop artist Mister Incredible – all of whom will be hosting H.O.M.E. by Martell events in the near future. Jhené was a perfect host, leading them through the luxurious residence and sharing all the exciting details. Whether gleaning culinary tips from Ghetto Gastro or learning how to make a personal cocktail featuring Martell Blue Swift, they were able to obtain a wealth of inspiration for their own H.O.M.E. by Martell events. Special guests who attended the event included actor Jamie Foxx and singers Lana del Rey and Kelis.
Upcoming H.O.M.E. by Martell events will be held in Atlanta and Chicago in October, and Detroit, Washington D.C. and Houston in November; all events are private, invitation only. Parallel events are also scheduled in Lagos, Nigeria and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in November.
