The Flava People has teamed up with drinks company Diageo to launch a range of Guinness flavoured recipe mixes.
Launching this month, the new stir-in recipe mixes will comprise of Steak & Guinness Ale Pie, Chilli Con Carne and Sausage casserole and are aimed at consumers looking for culinary experiences at home.
Dubbed ‘The beer of taste’ and loved by chefs and foodies across the UK for it’s rich umami depth, the sauces are designed to add the unique attributes of Guinness to enhance a dishes natural flavour.
The Flava People have collaborated with the head beer sommelier and the chef team at Guinness to capture and concentrate the unique essence of Guinness into a range of accessible products enabling consumers to create the magic of Guinness with food at home.
The three recipe mixes launches exclusively into Tesco this month, with an exciting full range of sauces, rubs and cooks ingredients planned for later in the year.
The launch follows a trend in Premium launches, which saw an uptick in the sauces and seasonings segment as well as in the processed fish, meat & egg products category in 2020.
The first launch will include three hearty recipe mixes and comprises of:
- Steak & Guinness Ale Pie: Deliciously rich and comforting, this homemade Steak & Ale Pie recipe captures the essence of real Guinness and is sure to please everyone around the table.
- Chilli Con Carne: A rich, smoky chilli con carne with the distinctive essence of Guinness. Create this hearty chilli in under 30 minutes with a delicious depth of flavour that tastes like it’s been simmering for hours.
- Sausage Casserole: A delicious twist on the humble sausage casserole, this rich, smoky gravy with the distinctive flavour of Guinness creates the ultimate in satisfying comfort food.
All the new products are vegan and free from artificial flavours and colours.
The new Guinness products will be available nationwide in Tesco RRP £1 from this month.
The Flava People was born in the British butchery trade in Manchester in 1976 with just a Kenwood Chef mixer, it is now a third-generation family business.
