A Giant Vending Machine That Provides Groceries To A Village Without Any Shops

Clifton1A giant vending machine was recently installed in the village of Clifton in Derbyshire, England, which has been without any local grocery or convenience shops for the past 14 years.

The vending machine was the idea of community engineer Peter Fox, who spent three years developing it himself after failing to get the support of the community.

It features a brick exterior and traditional awning, and dispenses milk, eggs, toiletries, umbrellas and even pet food that residents pay for with cash or credit cards. Previously, they had to trek to the nearest town to get necessities.
