Award-winning craft cider company Harry’s Cider has extended its range of bottled ciders with a new addition called Applemoor.
A medium cider with a rich fruity aroma, Applemoor is light and silky with a mellow finish that balances sweetness and tannin, maintaining the taste and character of a Somerset cider but with a relatively low alcohol level at only 5% abv. It comes in a sturdy 500ml glass bottle and has a RRP of £2.85.
Cidermaker Harry Fry says, “We’re very pleased with our new Applemoor cider – the latest addition to the Harry’s Cider family. It is made from a blend of cider apples, all grown in our orchards at Long Sutton in Somerset, and sits perfectly between our current bottled ciders, both in terms of flavour and alcohol level. It’s a medium cider with a gentle sparkle and a fruity flavour, making it really refreshing and very quaffable.”
Applemoor complements the company’s two existing, award-winning bottled ciders. Harry’s single variety Dabinett cider at 4.5% abv is fresh and appley with a good balance of tannin and acidity, while the Harry’s Original blend at 6% abv has a golden colour and a breadth of rich, fruity flavours. All are made with 100% cider fruit from the family farm, which is located just off the Somerset Levels.
The latest cider in the range has a lot to live up to, with multiple awards for the Dabinett and Original ciders over recent years, both regionally and nationally. This has no doubt contributed to the continuing success of the young family business, with recent figures confirming a further 50% growth year-on-year.
Established in 2012, Harry’s Cider is a fast-growing brand that produces sparkling and traditional ciders in the heart of Somerset ‘ciderland’. Harry and his son Toby are the farmers, growers, producers and processors, giving total control over the end product.
