Burger King Japan has announced its latest addition to the menu—a beef burger with black buns, cheese and sauce.
The black buns and cheese of the burger are actually made with bamboo charcoal and the sauce is mixed with squid ink to create the color.
There are two types of black burgers, the ‘Black Pearl’ is a simplified version with just a beef patty and sauce while the ‘Black Diamond’ includes vegetables.
Both burgers will be available for a limited time from 19 September 2014 at $4.50 onward.
