Heineken launches pub garden haircuts: Shear Genius!

Combining a post-lockdown pint with a much-needed trim

On the day that pubs and hairdressers re-open in most of the UK after four months of lockdown, Heineken is launching free haircuts in pub gardens across the nation so that people don’t have to choose between a refreshing pint or a fresh trim.

Heineken is helping to refresh the nation and shape up their overgrown locks, installing mobile hairdressing units in pub gardens in London, Manchester and Birmingham. A stylish branded airstream (with plenty of ventilation) is ready and waiting to host you for your post-lockdown trim.

Kicking off proceedings in London, at The Gregorian pub Bermondsey, celebrity hairstylist in residence Michael Douglas is busy giving customers hair some much needed TLC.

All you need to do to take part is buy a pint of Heineken and you can get some celebrity styling on your lockdown locks.

The event is the brainchild of digital agency Coolr, who are supporting this in-person event with a social media campaign that covers all Heineken channels as well as encouraging users to share their experience by using the #ShearGenius. A round up film of the London activation will launch next week.

Activations in Manchester and Birmingham are set to happen on Friday.
