From Caramel Chew Chew to Phish Food, enjoy a winter getaway with several distinctive flavours in the New England state of Vermont – as you take part in Ben & Jerry’s Annual Winter Festival!
Held this year on Saturday, March 1, the festival takes place in the town of Waterbury which is home to Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory.
For one day, the factory grounds are transformed into a winter playground for the local community and visitors to central Vermont, with 2014 flavour tastings, games and entertainment to be enjoyed.
Free tours of the Ben & Jerry’s factory (normally $4 per person) are offered throughout the day, including a chance to sample an exclusive flavour made in the onsite test kitchen.
Festival-goers will also have the chance to snack on sample offerings from other local artisan producers, including Green Mountain Coffee and Vermont Butter & Cheese, and enjoy the traditional Vermont confection ‘Sugar on Snow’ – molten syrup literally poured on clean white snow to form a soft maple candy.
