The Wall Street Journal has cited sources close to McDonald’s for the launch of the new slogan, which it is believed will not replace I’m Lovin’ It as the tagline for the company, but will instead run alongside.
This move comes after McDonald’s reported one of its “worst quarterly profit declines in years.” The company hopes that with the new slogan, it can reinvent its image and adopt new marketing strategies.
A spokesperson for the fast food restaurant said, “It’s highly speculative and premature to talk about Super Bowl ads and future campaigns for next year.”
According to the Wall Street Journal, the campaign will launch in January 2015 and will look to spread happiness in the face of Internet hate.
The Super Bowl takes place on 1 February 2015.
