‘Ladies & Gents’, North London’s underground ‘five star dive bar’, has created a range of 70s-styled cocktails aimed at unlocking retail opportunities.
Disco Cocktails, created with support from Halewood Artisanal Spirits and Coca-Cola, are inspired by the so-called bartender ‘disco’ (easy) shift and come in stylish pouches containing unique takes on classic cocktails.
Currently available online, the bar believes they represent significant sales potential for the off-trade and grocery alike.
Each features a Halewood spirit – such as classic Polish vodka, Vestal – blended with a soft drink syrup mixer and a ‘drop of disco magic’. The simple serve for all is to just add plenty of ice to a glass, pour the pouch and stir well.
The pouches – 100ml or 500ml – feature minimal packaging and fit through letterboxes, so are perfect both for Lockdown and last minute Christmas gifts.
William Borrell, Ladies & Gents owner, said: “Like many bars these days, we’re constantly pivoting and adapting to survive. With these, we’ve added some sweet moves to our alcohol armoury – and given us a perfect opportunity to open up retail.”
The cocktails are: the ‘Disco Cherry Sour’ (Vestal Vodka with Doctor Pepper); the ‘Disco Pina Colada’ (Dead Man’s Fingers rum with Sprite); the ‘Disco Pornstar Martini’ (Vestal with Fanta); the ‘Disco G&T’ (Whitley Neil gin with Schweppes tonic) and the ‘Disco Old Fashioned’ (American Eagle 4 year old bourbon with Coca Cola).
