Hailing from Portugal, design student Gil Rodrigues’ had an assignment that required him to create cheap packaging for storing eggs safely.
Rodrigues created a simple hexagonal package that secures the eggs, and, more importantly, unfurls in an elegant manner when one needs to retrieve them.
What makes this project particularly innovative is that the student did not use any glue at all, but rather cut grooves to create slots that would securely cradle even the most fragile of eggs.
