GLORIOUS! Soups stirs up calm at ‘wellness shed’ VR pop-up

Leading chilled soup retail brand GLORIOUS! Soups launched its first virtual reality (VR) pop-up, the world’s first wellness shed, by inviting the co-founders of Mindful Chef to try it out.

Myles Hopper and Giles Humphries were the first people to test the novel concept of VR mindfulness at the event yesterday.

 GLORIOUS! created a game especially for the event which challenges people to stir a pot of soup as slowly as possible. 

The idea behind the ‘wellness shed’ at Creative Debuts in Shoreditch was to demonstrate the benefits of taking a few moments to be mindful, whatever you are doing and wherever you are. The technology also incorporates binaural music which is scientifically proven to aid mindfulness.

Myles Hopper, Mindful Chef co-founder, said: “Our whole ethos is that we don’t believe in meticulous calorie counting or following fad diets. We like wholesome food that benefits you and your body; food that you can eat mindfully because you’re safe in the knowledge that what you’re eating is good for you.

 “GLORIOUS! Soups ‘wellness shed’ was an ingenious way to experience mindfulness. The virtual reality technology really immerses you in a kitchen environment and it did feel very calming to stir the pot of soup slowly.”

 The world’s first wellness shed pop-up is being held to mark the launch of GLORIOUS! Soups new & improved range of Super Soups. The flavours are:

·       Super Greens Primavera peas, beans & spinach

·       Super Grains coconut, lime & chilli

·       Tuscan chicken, tomato & grains

·       Mexican sweet potato & beans

·       Indian cauliflower, chickpea & turmeric 

·       Reviving carrot, butternut squash & ginger

The GLORIOUS! Super Soups pots (600g) are available end of September in Asda, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Morrisons and Ocado with an RRP from £2.
