London’s first chocolate themed pop-up restaurant will take place on 27th July in Hackney. The Cocoa Club presents a funky taste experience for you to indulge in a three-course meal cooked with hints of dark chocolate.
Going back to the roots of chocolate, the Cocoa Club gives you the opportunity to taste savoury home made food infused with spices and a chocolate twist in a relaxed venue for one night only before moving on to Hamburg.
The event is brought to you by Ubuntu Chocolate, artisan chocolate makers. The Cocoa Club embraces the Zulu philosophy of ubuntu, which stands for togetherness and sharing, by fusing flavours that cross continents and cultures and by bringing people together to dine on large communal tables.
Organisers Jeremy (chocolatier) and Annette (chef) created the event with a desire to celebrate the delicious food chocolate, and also share the concept of ubuntu in the UK and Europe where it is less well known than it is throughout Africa.
The evening will include a guided chocolate tasting and 3 course meal sprinkled with hints of chocolate, and carefully selected cocktails all in a cosy, friendly environment accompanied by live music and the soulful captivating voice of Tsega Tebege.
