The work, launching as we enter the new year, celebrates the positive community of Oddboxers with the story of two neighbours who bond over their Oddbox delivery.
The ad shows the neighbours leaving the house in the morning and finding that both have their Oddbox delivery waiting on their doorstep. They celebrate over their delicious wonky fruit and veg – and share pride that everything in their Oddbox has been rescued from the risk of going to waste.
Both the actors and the director worked with a loose script on the day, improvising reactions as they discovered the contents of the Oddbox.
The ad was directed by MarySue Masson, known for her comedy directing work on the Haribo commercials, as well as last year’s award-winning ‘No More Period Drama’ campaign for sanitary products brand Flo.
The TV ad will be supported by out of home ads across London and travel networks.
The ad, which will run across the Sky network and Channel 4, supports Oddbox’s drive for growth through 2023 and beyond, as it looks to become better known outside of London.
