Packaging solutions provider in top 1% of companies for sustainability performance
For the fifth consecutive year, SIG has been awarded the highest platinum sustainability status in the EcoVadis rating for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This ongoing prestigious platinum rating puts SIG once again in the top 1% of participating companies, who have been rigorously assessed by EcoVadis.
The EcoVadis assessment process is designed to improve transparency and promote continuous improvement on sustainability in the supply chain, enabling customers to monitor performance and identify high performing partners. The assessment process and methodology are based on international sustainability standards and supervised by a scientific committee of CSR and supply chain experts. This recognized external assessment gives customers the confidence that SIG is a responsible partner in the supply chain.
SIG first achieved its top EcoVadis percentile position in 2017 and since then the company continues to improve its overall score, driving progress towards its net-positive ambition to put more into society and the environment than it takes out.
Dr Christian Bauer, Head of Environmental Sustainability at SIG: “It’s a great honor for us to receive this recognition once again from a highly recognized independent body. For the fifth year running, this platinum award is a testimony to our responsible culture and unwavering commitment to sustainability. This top accolade puts SIG amongst the world’s leading companies in terms of sustainability performance and motivates us to stretch further than we have ever gone on our roadmap for better.”
