The guys behind Amigo’s Peri Peri in Acton have teamed up with The Yard Creative to design the perfect burger joint and it’s opening, on the 24th of May 2015 on the busy Uxbridge Road, a few doors down from the Shepherd’s Bush tube and Westfield London.
The brand has core ethics of friendly, welcoming, good service and above all, FUN at its heart. Therefore the new positioning of the brand had to be attractive to the masses but also stand out from the crowd. After all, it’s not the first burger joint to arrive on the streets of London but it sure is going to be SUPERCHARGED!
The story and characters of the two Amigos founders provided the main inspiration for the new brand and interior concepts. From the outset it needed to be clear exactly what Amigos do – great burgers. Playing on the ‘hat’ of the burger bun allowed the team to explore fun elements within the interior space whilst humorous brand messages like “Hats off to great burgers” and “#WhatsHatAllAbout” were created.
Adding a light hearted twist to the current industrial look associated with burger joints, the existing brickwork was retained, but given a new Amigos look. Layered with natural timber, rustic paintwork, neon colour and Amigos humour, the site is lively and attention grabbing, yet warm and welcoming.
The Amigos team asked The Yard Creative to support them with strategy, branding, graphic design, copywriting, interior design, social media management, web design as well as the brand launch & opening campaign.

Amigos Burgers & Shakes is holding a Grand Opening on Sunday 24th May where they’ll be giving away 500 FREE burgers from 2pm (for those who’ve re-posted the event poster on social media).
