Islington based pizzeria, Zia Lucia, are renowned for their experimental pizza doughs, and now to show their respect for Breast Cancer Awareness month happening in October, Zia Lucia will be swapping their traditional dough option to a pink one, with a percentage of all proceeds going to charity.
Zia Lucia’s beetroot infused pizza dough will be available throughout the whole month of October, alongside the three other options, including wholemeal, charcoal and made without gluten. Guests can choose from an array of classic and unusual toppings to go with their preferred dough, including a mouth-watering Vegan option made using butternut squash cream, and delicious ‘pizza bianco’ options that swap the tomato base for olive sauce and truffle honey.
Situated on Holloway Road, Zia Lucia, which translates as ‘Auntie Lucia’, is run by a team of passionate Italians. Founders, friends and Holloway residents, Claudio Vescovo and Gianluca D’Angelo have created Zia Lucia with the help of family, friends and local figures, with the aim of bringing an authentic taste of Italy to the burgeoning foodie pocked of Islington.
