Made For Drink’s Commitment To ‘Fine Food Immersion’ Results In Nationwide Listings

The season of dark, cold & wet nights might be upon us, but it’s going to take a lot more than a British Winter to dampen the high spirits at gourmet snack provider, Made for Drink.

Over in Berkshire, Dan Featherstone and his team are finalizing preparations for Made for Drink’s award-winning snacks to significantly extend their gastronomic reach across 500+ Sainsbury’s stores, 300+ Waitrose store & the entire Cook estate from DECEMBER 1st 2019

  • The Waitrose alliance was Made for Drink’s 1st supermarket listing back in 2018 when an initial audition at the premium retailer’s Richmond store resulted in a rapidly accelerated rollout to 30 stores and saw Made for Drink become the Partnership’s first dual-sited snack –across charcuterie stands and wine bars. Confidence in the brand’s groundbreaking approach to premium snacking will see the rollout extend to 328 stores this December.
  • The Sainsbury’s breakthrough came during Summer ’19, courtesy of the retailer’s dynamic FUTURE BRANDS team who invited Made for Drink and 11 other pioneering brands to take part in the business’s first TASTE OF THE FUTURE trial within 69 larger stores.  The resulting sales of Made for Drink’s snacks were so encouraging that Berkshire’s artisan snack provider was invited to extend its fine snacking footprint to a breathtaking 580 stores. Driven by its distinctive drinks-pairing proposition, Made For Drink’s snacks will launch nationwide in the Beer, Wine & Spirits aisle.
  • Made for Drink’s ongoing commitment to meticulously made and sourced food meant that an alliance with Cook stores nationwide estate was always going to be a key retailer priority, another mutually beneficial union which comes to fruition this Winter courtesy of a triumphant Autumn store trial.

Made for Drink embraces today’s enthusiasm for ingredient quality, traditional cooking methods and authentic world cuisine. Driven by the belief that good food and drink brings people together like nothing else, they focus on crafting intensely delicious snacks that pair beautifully with a drink.

According to Dan Featherstone, “Over the past three years we’ve built Made For Drink in pubs, hotels & speciality retail. We love the idea that people can discover our products in places like The Fat Duck Group, Fortnum & Mason or down the pub with their best friends. Our retail distribution now allows us to make our snacks accessible to millions of people as part of their everyday lives. To see these partnerships come to life is an amazing moment in our business journey.”
