ROWNTREE’S UNVEILS TWO NEW ICE LOLLY INNOVATIONS TO DRIVE SUMMER FREEZER SALES

Exciting flavour innovation from the UK’s #1 lolly brand lands in-store from January

Rowntree’s, the number-one lolly brand in Great Britain, is set to energise the ice cream aisle this year with the launch of two bold new products: Rowntree’s Fruit Explosion and Rowntree’s Fruit Pastilles Berries Landing in major retailers from 12th January, the new lines are designed to inject excitement into the category, tapping directly into consumer demand for iconic formats and refreshingly fun treats for all ages.

The new Rowntree’s Fruit Explosion multipack brings together two dual-flavour sorbet lollies that deliver dynamic fruit combinations and bold colours.

Each mixed pack includes:

  • Apple Sorbet & Sour Cherry Sorbet with Sour Cherry Sauce
  • Mango & Passion Fruit Sorbet & Kiwi Sorbet with Kiwi Sauce

With its soft texture and bold flavours, Fruit Explosion brings something genuinely new to freezers – innovation crafted to inspire shoppers and deliver strong incremental growth for retailers.

Also joining the range is Rowntree’s Fruit Pastille Berries, a vibrant Strawberry & Blackcurrant fruit ice lolly, made with fruit juice and shaped in the brand’s iconic Fruit Pastilles. A flavour extension of the best-selling lolly in the UK, this new SKU is poised to recruit even more fans into the category[1]

Ahead of these launches, the brand will be supported by a full through-the-line campaign to maximise reach and drive excitement around the brand’s ‘Free the Fun’ platform.

Both launches come as Rowntree’s ice lollies continue to outperform the market, selling 69% more packs than the next biggest lolly brand[2]. With proven success in fruit-led NPD – including Mango, the best-selling ice lolly NPD of the last five years – the brand is well-positioned to deliver significant category growth again in 2026[3].
