Maison M. Chapoutier announced that the 2013 Single-Vineyard Selections (Sélections Parcellaires) are officially offered for sale “en Primeur”. With their success since the 90s, the Chapoutier Primeurs have now become a unique opportunity to acquire Single-Vineyard Selections such as Le Pavillon, L’Ermite, Le Méal and De l’Orée in Ermitage or La Mordorée in Côte-Rôtie. These wines make the reputation of the wine estate that received the highest number of 100 Parker points
in the world.
This year, the campaign’s theme “For the Love of Wine” reminds us of the beautiful quality of the 2013 vintage but also the strong commitment of Maison M. Chapoutier made with fine wines’ lovers worldwide.
Michel Chapoutier: “I want to preserve the true definition of the En Primeur system that allows to acquire rare bottles at a
discounted price. These wines have not yet been rated by any journalist in the world, as they will be tasted after their bottling, which I consider the fairest way possible to score a great wine. Vintage after vintage, these wines are the best pictures of the terroir and 2013 was particularly successful. When you love wine, you love the true En Primeur system.”
Like Maison M. Chapoutier’s arms, the 2013 vintage was very “Fac et Spera”. It took us a lot of patience with the nature and great boldness in our observations and choices. Unique pictures of a variety in a specific vintage and on a given soil, the 2013 Single-Vineyard Selections reveal major surprises. In terms of quality, white wines like red wines are delicious in this vintage, but in smaller quantities than usual.
