A plane points out the new location for KFC’s new restaurant in Tenerife

KFC, a leading fried chicken brand, presents their new restaurant in Tenerife overflying the island with a commercial aircraft. To that end, they have customized one airplane from the well-known local brand, CanaryFly.

PS21 has sought to leverage the location of their new establishment beside north Tenerife’s airport, one of the airports with higher air traffic of the Canary Island, to introduce through one of the most heavily domestic traveled flights, the opening of their new restaurant in the island. For this purpose, the firm has transferred his branding to a new communication support leading to the creation of a striking design where it can be read: “KFC this way”, in order to point out the location where it is placed the new establishment. 

During August, KFC will drive Canarian population to the location of the new KFC’s restaurant in ‘La Laguna’ through the airspace. KFC’s airplane will carry out a daily airflight connecting some of the islands in the Canary archipelago such as Lanzarote, La Palma, Fuerteventura and El Hierro with north Tenerife’s airport.   

“The opening of KFC La Laguna is, undoubtedly, a very special occasion, which is perceived with the same enthusiasm as the first time we landed on the island back in 2015. Thanks to the new KFC La Laguna opening, we have regained the growth and the development of the brand and strengthened our ranking in Tenerife as a fried chicken leading brand”, stated by Juan José Lecumberri, Padicum head, KFC franchise holder.

To celebrate the opening of the new KFC restaurant in La Laguna, the firm is gifting during this month two chicken strips for free to all the customers who achieve to photograph KFC’s airplane overflying the island and to show such a picture in the restaurant. On top, the travelers who have the privilege of flying on KFC’s airplane will be able to enjoy a burger totally for free by redeeming their boarding pass in the new KFC restaurant in the island.
