Ballineen Fine Foods Ltd, which has been producing high quality Irish pork and beef products for the retail and food-service sectors for 25 years, has secured a listing for its Chip Shop Style Irish Sausages in Crispy Batter in over 300 Asda stores.
The deal will further extend the product’s reach in the UK, which is currently available in over 2,000 stores across Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and many other UK retailers. This latest agreement clearly highlights the strong consumer demand for this product across the UK.
The fuss free product, which is ideal for time-short consumers, provides a tasty alternative to a classic chip shop meal without having to leave home. The Chip Shop Style Irish Sausages in Crispy Batter are frozen and quick and easy to make, by either oven cooking or deep frying, to consistently create a perfectly golden, crispy batter without fail.
Brendan Dixon, Head of Sales and Marketing, Ballineen Fine Foods Ltd., commented: “We’re a very ambitious company, and this latest agreement clearly demonstrates the consumer appetite for our products within the UK. We take extreme measures to ensure quality across all areas of our business and have created a brand that people know and trust, generating real shelf appeal. We will look to build on this momentum as we seek out new opportunities across retail and foodservice markets.”
The County Cork based company was established in 1993 by husband and wife, Kevin and Marie Hennessy. Irish produce is famed world-wide for its excellence, and Ballineen’s is no exception – creating trusted Irish pork and beef products for retail and foodservice sectors across the UK, Ireland and Europe.
