BRÚ Brewery Deliver Perfect First Serve to UK Drinks Market

Bru-bottle-shotOn June 28, London’s ‘SMITHS’ of Smithfield hosted BRÚ Brewery for a special ‘Meet the Brewer’ event.

The evening gave discerning drinkers from across the UK the chance to sample beers from one of Ireland’s most exciting craft brewers.

Having already made a big impact on the Irish drinks scene, BRÚ Brewery is looking to grow its UK market-share, in both the on-trade and off-trade; ‘Meet the Brewer’ gave the perfect opportunity to introduce trade, media and the public to the award-winning range of beers both in draught and bottle formats.

In particular the evening presented the opportunity to enjoy BRÚ Dubh, the brewery’s rich, velvety stout and award-winning gluten-free lager, on draught. BRÚ Rua, their red ale, BRÚ Rí IPA and BRÚ craft lager were also available to sample in bottle format.

Guests were also shown, by BRÚ Brewery’s brewer and head of sales David O’Hare, how to achieve the perfect serve for the range and what goes into producing an award-winning beer.

To mark the occasion ‘SMITHS’ of Smithfield prepared a special Irish lamb stew, using BRÚ Dubh as an ingredient, as well as offering their signature SOS beef burger and chips to complement the beers being tasted at the event.

BRU-BreweryCommenting on the evening David O’Hare said: “We were delighted that such a prodigious venue as ‘SMITHS’ of Smithfield hosted our UK launch. We hope that the great reaction we received to our brand and award winning beers last night will soon be mirrored by consumers across the UK when our beers become available nationwide.”

Cat Stuijt ‘SMITHS’ of Smithfield’s Sales, Marketing & Events Manager added: “It was a pleasure to welcome all our guests last evening and introduce them to BRU Irish Craft Brewery. Our chefs enjoyed developing a bespoke menu as well as food and beer pairings. This turned out to be one of the most popular of our featured monthly ‘Meet the Brewer’ events.”
