Naked have re-invented the world of marshmallows with a unique and innovative range of naturally handmade products, including a brave new range extension – real marshmallow infused gin and vodka.
Design Happy were enlisted to ensure the branding was equally dynamic and encapsulated their light-hearted take on a campfire classic.
Customers were calling out for alcohol flavours of their marshmallows, Naked responded by releasing Vanilla Bean Marshmallow Gin and a Salted Caramel Marshmallow Vodka, merging a growing interest in artisanal food and drink.
Design Happy said: “We established the brand by amplifying Naked’s handmade proposition with a simple and understated brand mark. Inspired by campfire marshmallow toasting we created an iconic crossed sticks marshmallow graphic and a bespoke pillow box structure with a tent inspired diecut in bright, punchy colours to deliver shelf appeal and standout.”
To extend the design to the gin and Vodka it was important to add alcohol cues to pivot the brand in a more serious direction. The spirits are distilled in traditional copper pot stills by expert artisan producers. Naked are the only product in the world to do this, as far as they are aware, so the use of textured kraft paper and the copper type belly band evoked these premium credentials whilst the wax sealed cap representing the tasty, gooey marshmallow, added the perfect finishing touch.
