Gravity Theory Cider Attracts New Wholesale Listings

Craft cider producer, Gravity Theory, has harvested a crop of new wholesale listings ahead of what promises to be a year of sustained growth for the brand and the category.

Drink Warehouse, Venus Wines and Spirits, and Cave Direct are all introducing Gravity Theory to their ranges. They join Matthew Clark, Dayla, Euroboozer, Biercraft and Inn-Express. Available in 330ml and 440ml cans as well as 50l keg formats, Gravity Theory has built its UK distribution – with support from a broad spectrum of wholesale account partners – to the envy of many independent brands. It is now stocked in approximately 700 UK venues including Honest Burgers, Wahaca, Meat Liquor, Tonkotsu, Patty & Bun, JKS Restaurants and the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew.

Established in 2020, Gravity Theory is a 4.5% ABV sparkling cider produced from 100% single estate apples within a 10 mile radius of a farm in Herefordshire. Predominantly using Michelin and Dabinett varieties, the juice is fermented and matured for a minimum of six months and is suitable for gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan diets. Golden in colour, it has a hint of sharpness balanced with a touch of sweetness and is medium-dry with moderate to high complexity.

David Bridge-Collyns, founder of Gravity Theory, commented: “Cider sales are defying gravity and venues are actively seeking craft products with stand out branding and a consistent standard of quality across multiple formats. Gravity Theory has been produced specifically to meet those requirements. We will be working with our partners on new product development as Duty changes, Extended Producer Regulation and even the Bottle Return Scheme all influence how we can best provide their customers with the perfect cider serve.”

According to the 2025 Westons Cider Report*, the cider category is in rude health and now worth in excess of £3 billion in sales in the UK.

To support its growth, Gravity Theory will be showcasing at a number trade and consumer drinks events over the coming months, including BrewLDN on 10-12th April (www.brewldn.com, stand 39).
