KLM and Heineken have partnered to make those long-haul flights a little more refreshing with a specially designed in-flight beer tap.
The Dutch travel firm will be the first to introduce Heineken’s draught beer trolley on board, allowing passengers to enjoy the cold beverage at high altitude.
The uniquely designed appliance fits a standard airline trolley, and while it won’t become a standard feature for economy passengers, KLM has said it will use the invention “as much as possible” on special flights for business class flyers.
The duo announced the partnership via a humorous 40-second spot created DDB & Tribal Amsterdam, which shows two businessmen trying to outdo each other with humble brag-filled tales of their best traveling experiences – only to be amazed by the innovative trolley.
The new service was debuted recently aboard a flight to Curacao, by using air pressure instead of CO2 to serve pints at 35,000ft.
