Savsé, one of the UK’s fastest growing smoothie brand, is launching Europe’s first ever cold-pressed baby food. My First Savsé will offer parents a deliciously healthy, 100% organic and completely natural baby food that is as good as homemade.
Available for babies aged 4 months and over, My First Savsé offers the perfect solution for parents looking to successfully wean their children on to fruit and vegetables with the convenience of homemade quality at home and on the go. This revolutionary product will be the first of its kind, available nationwide to buy from the chiller in supermarkets and stores from the 26th May.
CEO and Founder Guka Tavberidze commented “As a company, we’re on a mission to change the food and drink industry for the better, and what category more important than Early Nutrition, Just like our smoothie range, we’re determined to bring truly nutritious products to the consumer, with absolutely no compromise on taste or convenience. The demand amongst parents for fresh, non-boiled food is increasing, with awareness of the benefits of cold-pressed products more prevalent than ever. At Savsé we cold-press our baby food to retain the essential goodness of the fruit and vegetables, providing your child with the very best in the most convenient form possible. From May 26th we’ll be shaking up the baby food category and taking it to a whole new level – we’re so proud to be making history and giving parents the freshest product possible.”
As opposed to Heat Pasteurisation, Savsé use non-thermal High Pressure Processing (HPP) to ensure that all vital ingredients are locked into each pouch, deactivating bacteria without compromising on taste or quality. Savsé never heat pasteurise or add artificial colours, preservatives or sugars. With My First Savsé, Europe’s first cold-pressed baby food, parents no longer have to make that compromise when purchasing baby food in-store – it really is as good as homemade.
The My First Savsé range comprises of seven innovative flavours:
- Apple
- Blueberry, prune, plum, apple and banana
- Carrot, pumpkin, apple and beetroot
- Cucumber, kiwi, kale, spinach, apple, banana
- Pear, pea, apple and banana
- Coconut, cacao, apple and banana
- Lentils, sweet potato, carrot and apple
Guka Tavberidze founded Savsé in 2013 after being frustrated with other “healthy” smoothies on the market that were full of added sugar and heat pasteurised, a preservation technique which degrades the quality of vitamins, minerals and enzymes contained.
Guka was repeatedly told by industry experts that heat pasteurisation was the only viable way of making a fruit and vegetable smoothie, but refused to compromise – he knew there must be another way, a better way, to be able to offer consumers a product that really was as healthy as it was delicious.
Staying true to the consumer, and creating a product that made it that little bit easier for consumers to live a healthy lifestyle was what it was all about. After a lot of searching, Guka finally found out about High Pressure Processing (HPP). As opposed to Heat Pasteurisation – which heats the ingredients to +70°C degrading the quality of vitamins, minerals and enzymes contained – HPP locks in the goodness while keeping out the nasties, producing amazing smoothies packed full of nutrients, just like homemade versions.
My First Savsé stockists include: Harrods, Ocado, Whole Foods, Planet Organic, Amazon Fresh, Sourced Market, As Nature Intended and Morrisons.
