Starbucks has announced that it plans to introduce beer and wine to thousands of stores across the US, in an attempt to increase sales and cater to evening customers.
The coffee chain also plans to roll out an evening menu–diners can look forward to gourmet bites like bacon-wrapped dates with a balsamic glaze, parmesan crusted chicken skewers, and truffle macaroni and cheese.
Some stores have already started selling alcohol and light bites, including outlets in Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Atlanta and Portland.
