The Lakes Distillery in Cumbria are bolstering their presence in the South, after relocating their Events and Business Development Executive to the capital.
Poppy Fisher, who has been with the Bassenthwaite based distillery since its inception in 2014, will be taking up post as the newly formed, Business Development and Events Executive for London and the South East.
With 34% of online visitors to the distillery’s site originating from London and with a brand presence already established within some of the city’s best known stores – both Harvey Nichols and Fortnum & Masons stock its products – Fisher’s role will primarily be focused on driving sales in the South, event management and furthering brand awareness in the region.
Based out of The Yacht London, a partner of The Lakes Distillery, Poppy will also be heavily involved in: Junipalooza, Tobacco Dock’s renowned gin carnival, The Telegraph Whisky Experience and Whisky Lounge London 2017, one of the capital’s biggest whisky festivals, due to take place this year.

The Lakes Distillery produces award-winning whiskies, gins and vodka made from the pure water of the nearby River Derwent. The Lakes Distillery’s first malt whisky will be ready in 2018. Alongside distilling, The Lakes Distillery also offers an award winning visitor experience, including guided tours and tastings and a Michelin Guide featured bistro.
