Twin Peaks Announces 10-Store Development Agreement in Miami

Ultimate man-cave concept to bring its Scenic Views to South Florida

DALLAS – Twin Peaks Restaurants today announced that the ultimate man-cave sports lodge has awarded a multi-unit development agreement to expand in South Florida.

DMD Restaurant Group, LLC signed a 10-store agreement to develop Twin Peaks in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach over the next several years.

With more than 25 restaurants open in 12 states and three more locations scheduled to open by the end of the year, Twin Peaks is a sports-themed restaurant known for its rugged mountain lodge atmosphere, homemade comfort food, 29 degree draft beer, high-definition televisions and – its most prized assets – the Twin Peaks Girls.

The DMD Restaurant Group is made up of franchise partners and experienced restaurateurs Jack Flechner, Joe Sloboda and Fred Burgess, all of whom will have a hand in the restaurant’s site selection, management and operations.

“South Florida is an untapped market for Twin Peaks,” said Flechner, the group’s spokesperson. “Not only is it a densely populated area but with a concept as fun and attractive as Twin Peaks, we have no doubt that it will doubly benefit from the area’s year-round tourism. The possibilities for success here are endless.”

As operators of Five Guys Burgers and VooDoo BBQ locations in the Miami area, the DMD partners have a combined 10+ years of restaurant experience.

“We were ready to take on a new challenge and discovered Twin Peaks,” said Flechner. “We read about the concept and after visiting locations in Dallas and seeing how much the Twin Peaks Girls and guests enjoyed themselves, we knew it was something we wanted to run with. It’s important to us that the people who work for our concepts actually like what they’re doing. With Twin Peaks, we know we’re going to have that type of positive environment all the time.”

The addition of the DMD Restaurant Group to the Twin Peaks lineup helped to push the rapidly expanding concept past the milestone of 100+ restaurant commitments, with more than 20 of those restaurants scheduled to be opened by the end of 2013.

“We are very excited to be able to introduce Miami to this extraordinary concept,” added Flechner. “There’s really nothing else like Twin Peaks around here and between the mountain lodge setting, great food and the amazing atmosphere provided by the Twin Peaks Girls, we are sure that we’ll be a big hit with fans.”
