Belgian Abbey beer Leffe, has launched two new variants in the UK, Leffe Ruby and Leffe Nectar, as the brand continues to grow the abbey beer category.
Available in 750ml bottles, the two new variants join Leffe’s core range of Blonde and Brune to complement the increased demand for innovative flavours and interesting tastes in the UK. Both variations have just joined beer aisles nationwide.
The taste of Leffe Ruby offers subtle traces of red fruit and rosewood suitable for those with a sweeter tooth, who still want to enjoy the essence of a typical abbey beer. Red in colour, Leffe Ruby has delicate traces of spice, that when poured into a Leffe chalice will reveal a multitude of taste sensations.
Leffe Nectar is rich and full-flavoured, due to expert brewing technique and meticulous ingredient selection. Golden orange in colour, the taste of Leffe Nectar releases aromatic honey flavours and a wild floral bouquet when swirled around a beer goblet.
Emily Kraftman, Senior Brand Manager for Leffe at AB InBev UK, comments:
“Both Leffe Ruby and Leffe Nectar join our existing range to offer consumers new flavour options and a different alternative to the more traditional abbey beers. Our history of expert brewing is at the core of these new variants and with Leffe as the market leading Abbey beer, combined with the fact that flavoured and fruit beers are continuing to prove popular in the UK, we’re confident both Leffe Ruby and Nectar will prove popular amongst consumers.”
The new Leffe Ruby and Nectar join the existing premium Leffe range of Blonde and Brune and are now available in Tesco, with listings following in Morrisons from late August.
