Scotland’s leading family dairy has launched a new range of ice cream and looked to long-standing creative branding agency, threebrand, to help them create knock out packaging.
Graham’s The Family Dairy’s first venture into ice cream range was unveiled in 2009, but the dairy wanted to introduce six new and exciting flavours with a fresh look.
Edinburgh-based threebrand’s remit was to design stand out packaging that creates lots of personality, is friendly and communicates the family values that are at the heart of the Graham’s brand.
Fiona Scott, Associate Creative Director at threebrand, commented: “We have drawn on the magic and nostalgia of classic British seaside holidays, all those memorable family holiday moments, and captured them in the rebrand of the ice cream range. Each of the six flavours are signposted by pastel colour coding that matches the flavour variety and nods to classic seaside beach huts for inspiration.”
“Like all of the products from Graham’s the Family Dairy, the new packaging features photos of the family members, this time from their old holiday albums. This adds a personality and creates a desirable touch point consistency across the product portfolio,” added Fiona.
Carol Graham, Marketing Director of Graham’s The Family Dairy, said: “Ice cream is no longer seen as just a summer dessert or a special treat, as customers now enjoy eating it straight from the tub in front of the TV or a good movie all year round. We aim to make great tasting products in Scotland, essentially products we can enjoy at home and those our loyal customers have come to love and demand. Our new ice cream collection is a natural extension to the Graham’s The Family Dairy range. The new packaging is really eye catching and we hope it will draw attention from customers of all ages with it’s great stand out on shelf.”
