Grey Goose, the world’s leading super-premium vodka, today announces the official launch of its global summer pop up experience, Grey Goose Boulangerie Bleue, in New York City. Private guests will be transported to the French Riviera via a secret entrance through a traditional French bakery and will enjoy an immersive, experience created by an influential list of culinary, cocktail and music partners.
To experience the Grey Goose Boulangerie Bleue, guests are encouraged to look for the lone goose icon in Brookfield Place in Battery Park, beginning June 16 through Sunday, June 19, and see what surprises lie beyond the bakery door.
Grey Goose has collaborated with French music label, Kitsuné to curate the music, baking prodigy Adam Leonti of Brooklyn Bread Lab to create artisan breads inspired by the finest French ingredients that comprise Grey Goose vodka, and a selection of New York’s best bartenders to craft exceptional cocktails. To top it off, the world’s most intimate martini cocktail bar, the Grey Goose Camionette, will be taking appointments for private consultations, where guests will have the opportunity to tailor the vodka martini cocktail to their own personal taste.
The New York launch event will feature DJ sets from Zimmer, musician and producer Olugbenga (Metronomy), and a live performance by electro-pop dance group Rüfüs du Sol. Zimmer is part of the new wave of Parisian producers who are redefining French House music. Describing his sound as ‘horizontal disco,’ which refers to relaxed summer poolside lounging, Zimmer’s infectious beats are both soothing and dance floor-friendly.
Zimmer explains, “The soundtrack is inspired by the perfect French Riviera beach party where everyone unites, dances and smiles.”
Adam Leonti will play host to the Boulangerie. Known for baking delicious artisan loaves of freshly-milled, whole grain breads, Leonti’s traditional farm-to-table methods echo those of the Grey Goose approach. Just as Leonti applies a hands-on approach focused on locally-sourced, sustainable ingredients, Grey Goose Creator and Cellar Master Francois Thibault oversees every step in the creation of Grey Goose vodka from field to bottle – a process that begins with personal selection of the finest French ingredients and a careful process which ensures that their natural characteristics are captured in the final spirit.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to work with a brand that employs the same superior quality standards in creating their product as I do with my own,” says Leonti.
It wouldn’t be a Grey Goose event if it didn’t feature extraordinary cocktails. Master Mixologist Joe McCanta outdoes himself with a menu of cocktails across brunch, lunch and dinner. The feature serve is the Grey Goose Le Grand Fizz, a long, refreshing serve for the summer months. Previewed last year, the cocktail found fame at celebrated festivals, and will now be served at this year’s hottest social occasions across the globe. The long, light Le Grand Fizz is a refreshing combination of Grey Goose vodka, St-Germain elderflower liqueur, and fresh lime, topped with chilled soda for a gentle effervescence.
“The Grey Goose Le Grand Fizz is the answer to a number of drinking trends this summer,” explains McCanta. “It’s a simple, elegant summer serve made with the finest French ingredients, and is ideal for both day and night time summer occasions.”
For those who want to create their own summer soiree, Zimmer has created custom playlists available for download here.
