McDonald’s Unveils Limited Big Mac Special Sauce Giveaway on Social Media

McDonald’s is literally giving away its secret sauce, with the food giant poised to hand out 10,000 bottles of its world-famous Big Mac Special Sauce for the first time ever.

Limited free bottles of the savoury condiment will be available in dozens of locations across the US. Customers can find out where there closest bottles are by downloading a special iMessage app called ‘Big Mac Special Sauce Finder’ which highlights the closest store where bottles are available.

Upon arrival they will get their sauce on a first come, first served basis and must say the special code phrase to staff: ‘There’s a Big Mac for That.’

However, burger lovers who can’t attend their local McDonald’s will be able to get their hands on a bottle by tuning into a special Facebook Live stream from the brand at 2pm (ET) on January 26. Promotions will also run across Twitter and Instagram at the same time.

The first bottle of the sauce was gifted to the Delligatti family in memory of Michael ‘Jim’ Delligatti who is credited with having introduced the Big Mac in his Uniontown, Pennsylvania restaurant in 1968.
