Wendy’s customers will have the opportunity to enjoy their favourite menu items in a new urban design setting as the company officially opens a new concept restaurant in Edmonton’s Mayfield district on July 27.
The Mayfield location is the second “urban design” concept restaurant in Canada and was designed to engage all five senses and to bring the essence of Wendy’s food to life: Quality, Fresh, Wholesome and Delicious.
“Wendy’s customers are sure to be delighted with the restaurant’s new look and feel,” said Akebal Klaer, Regional Director, Western Canada with Wendy’s Restaurants of Canada Inc.
“This renovation is part of a comprehensive brand transformation that includes food innovation, modern restaurant uniforms, attractive menu boards and packaging, and an updated Wendy’s logo in all advertising and social/digital channels. We hope everyone will come out and join us at our grand opening to experience the re-design for themselves.”
The new restaurant boasts an industrial-meets-contemporary design that incorporates real wood and stone within the interior, LED lighting, large windows and flat panel televisions.
A variety of seating options such as private booths and cozy lounge seating are available and the entire restaurant is outfitted with free Wi-Fi. The exterior design incorporates historic farm elements like grain silos and water towers.
To celebrate the grand opening, Edmonton Eskimo players TJ Hill and Fred Stamps will be onsite to participate in a variety events, including a Build your own Baconator contest.
