May 28 saw the design and marketing industry come together to celebrate the winners of The 17th FAB Awards, the only competition to focus solely on the creativity of food and beverage brands around the globe.
New studio on the block, Horse, was awarded a FAB and a FABulous Award for their Nongfu Spring mineral water design.
Produced for high-end restaurants, bars and hotels, the winning design features eight different plant and animal species from Moya Spring, at the foot of Changbai Mountain – the volcanic region in northern China that produces the water.
“We’re unbelievably proud of such a great achievement and to have the opportunity to create the first premium product under the Nongfu Spring portfolio,” commented Sarah Pidgeon, creative partner at Horse.
“Our task was to convey the natural wonder of the water source environment to the consumer in the most beautiful way we could – something which has only been made possible thanks to the uncompromising vision from our client.”
Design Jury Chair Rodanthi Senduka, founder and creative director of Red Design Consultants, commented: “I loved it. Pure, magical, intelligent. A crispy, clear FABulous Winner!”
Horse also picked up a nomination for their Makers & Merchants branding and packaging.
The FAB Awards is an international program focused entirely on the work created for food and beverage brands. It recognises the critical contribution that outstanding creative work makes to building brands, identifies and rewards the leading practitioners from over 60 countries and acknowledges their contribution to their clients and their agencies.
