A delicious new Italian food delivery box is launching today, offering food lovers all over the UK the chance to discover, cook and enjoy the best Italian gourmet products delivered straight to their door.
Subscribers to ‘Italy in a Box’ will receive a box delivered direct to their home each month containing five or six high quality Italian food products from some of Italy’s finest independent food producers which are rarely found outside of Italy.
As well as bringing a variety of Italian delicacies from independent Italian producers and farmers to UK food lovers, each delivery box from ‘Italy in a Box’ will include recipes to create delicious Italian dishes at home. The emphasis for these recipes will be authentic, home cooked, regional cooking to enjoy with family and friends, rather than complicated haute cuisine.
The recipes will not only help customers cook each dish, but will also include information on the history and origins of the dish and key ingredients as well as guidance on serving suggestions and accompaniments.
In the first box customers will also receive a binder to create their own cook book to collate the delicious recipes and information from ‘Italy in a Box’.
The first delivery box from ‘Italy in a Box’ available to order from 10th July contains a fantastic cheese from Modena, rare saffron from the Montefeltro in the Marche region, a very special Arborio rice from Piedmont, an unusual onion marmalade from Sicily and a soft nougat from the city that invented it, Cremona.
The box will cost £39.95 and the featured recipes for the July delivery box will be the traditional Italian dishes of Risotto Allo Zafferano (Saffron Risotto) and Mousse Al Parmigiano (Parmesan Cheese Mousse).
‘Italy in a Box’ is founded by a team of passionate, UK based Italian foodies who love to share their enthusiasm for traditional Italian food and travel the length and breadth of Italy to handpick the best products and delicacies which otherwise may not reach the UK.
Founder of Italy in a Box, Simone Luciani comments ‘Every year thousands of local Italian producers and farmers create an incredible variety of Italian delicacies, only a small proportion of which ever reach the UK market.’
He adds ‘we want to make quality ingredients available here in the UK and show that with a little time, effort and love you can create outstanding and authentic Italian meals at home to enjoy with family and friends – just like the Italians’.
