Beer baths were believed to have healing and restorative powers in ancient Egypt.
Taking after this belief, Austrian brewery Starkenberger Brewery built beer swimming pools that you can take a dip in to regenerate.
In the centuries-old brewery castle located on the outskirts of Munich, Germany, there are seven heated beer pools that each contain “12,000-liters of water enriched with 300-liters Biergeläger (remote yeast)”, according to Thrillist Nation.
Visitors can book a two-hour beer-soaking session at US$298 per pool, and top-up US$6.50 per person—which comes with beer crackers, meat spread, and a bottle of beer (that’s not been swum in before) per person.
