Travellers in and out of Vancouver’s YVR airport will now have the opportunity to pick up a Hot ‘N Juicy™ hamburger or fresh cup of Redhead Roasters coffee as Wendy’s opens its first airport site, the restaurant’s 369th location in Canada.
To mark the occasion, owners Dave and Marianna Mah will make a donation to Quest, a local organization that partners with food providers to assist low income families.
The new Wendy’s YVR store will be open 24-hours a day and will serve breakfast from 6:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
“We are thrilled to be opening up our first Canadian airport location at Vancouver’s YVR,” said Akebal Klaer, Regional Director of Operations, Western Canada with Wendy’s Restaurants of Canada Inc.
“This new location comes in the midst of a comprehensive brand transformation that includes food innovation, contemporary restaurant uniforms, attractive menu boards and packaging, and an updated Wendy’s logo in all advertising and social / digital channels.”
The YVR airport location includes Wendy’s new Welcome Wall, a fixture in all new concept locations that celebrates the heritage of founder Dave Thomas’s commitment:
“Welcome to real. Welcome to fresh. Welcome to Wendy’s Vancouver Airport”. “Our commitment to delivering on our customers’ expectations of superior quality is real,” Klaer added. “We want every single customer to have a great experience at Wendy’s – one they won’t get anywhere else.”
