Costa Coffee Uses Periscope To Broadcast Flat White Coffee Art Battle

Costa Coffee is tapping Periscope, the Twitter-owned live broadcasting app, to stream a barista battle to create the perfect coffee art.

Two teams of Costa Coffee baristas will be challenged to pour a perfect ‘flat white’ coffee, complete with florette design.

The pour-off will be broadcast live on 29 September for an hour through Costa Coffee’s Periscope channel. Viewers will be asked to vote for the winner.

The Perscipe activity ties in with Costa Coffee’s “beautifully predictable” campaign, which centres on baristas’ ability to make the perfect coffee every time.
