Design agency, BrandMe share the new packaging design for Terry’s Chocolate Caramel Ball, marking a bold and innovative effort for the well-loved brand to drive market share through mainstream flavour appeal.

Following the success of the Terry’s Chocolate Mint launch, the new Caramel variant is part of Terry’s ‘beyond Orange’ strategy to broaden its appeal and capture greater market share.
The design challenge was to differentiate the new Caramel addition from the existing Orange ball, which has a similar colourway, while still exciting and engaging loyal consumers and building new recruitment paths.
Leveraging the rich, multisensorial visual language previously developed for the Terry’s brand identity, BrandMe elevated caramel flavour cues through a bespoke wordmark and a warm, indulgent colour palette while playful, witty wordplay maintains consistency with the iconic Terry’s Chocolate Orange.
To ensure standout on-shelf and in-hand, BrandMe introduced a new window for the box, crafted with custom, caramel elements that build taste expectations and excitement. This new design feature offers fresh impact to a familiar format and enhances the brand’s joyful visual identity in a new way.



The new ball honours Terry’s heritage while highlighting the brand’s continued ability to flex and evolve to connect with a broader, modern audience.

We had the great challenge of visually bringing to life the caramel flavour in line with their iconic pack equities. By creating a bespoke Caramel wordmark and delicious caramel visual to hero the new window, we were able to bring excitement and flavour to this new pack. Whilst also differentiating from the original Orange ball. Terry’s tone of voice is always uplifting and witty, so we also wrote some more fun puns for the back of pack. This Terry’s innovation is as exciting and joyous to work on as it is to consume.’
