Coca-Cola and Ogilvy Get the Philippines to Fizz up their Valentine’s with a Love Song

Two days before Valentine’s Day, Coca-Cola Philippines set hearts a flutter with a one-day pop-up vending machine that dared lovebirds to fizz up their love.

Amid couples and hopeful singles, Coca-Cola set up the special Valentine’s vending machine in picturesque Circuit Makati, inviting people to fizz up their love with a no-frills mechanic: Grab the mic, select a feeling, and sing a love song karaoke-style.

After the song, the machine dispensed free Coke for the couple, plus a romantic surprise including shirts that said SOUL and MATE, snapbacks embroidered with BOO and BAE, a rose, and a drinking straw for couples.

The most romantic surprise was Quest, popular Filipino singer, serenading the couples live with a song!

“Coca Cola exists to bring joy and create memorable moments–and what better day to create beautiful moments than a day that celebrates love,” shared Pratik Thakar, Coca Cola ASEAN Integrated Marketing Communications Director.

The Fizz Up Your Love machine is a creative product of the Coca-Cola South East Asia Social Experience Lab, which specialises in content creation. The same team recently also created content for Pride Day in Manila, Fanta Scream Machine, and Carol for A Coke. The creative agency behind the stunt were Ogilvy.
