As part of the Christmas campaign for Coca-Cola, J. Walter Thompson Brazil created the ‘Thanks Box’, a reverse vending machine. Passersby could buy a Coke to send to whoever they wished and say a very special ‘thank you’ in a super personalised way.
The operation is simple. You choose between one of three versions of the commemorative aluminium bottle. Then, simply place the bottle into the machine. You will be invited to record a thank you video which can then be sent to your loved ones.
“We sought to innovate by creating a design project. We built a machine with a long, useful life that can be used in other opportunities, in addition to this Christmas campaign,” explains Gustavo de Lacerda and Nacho Mendiola, Creative Directors at J. Walter Thompson Brazil.
